Our Favourite Restaurants

It is often difficult to find a restaurant that feels like a second home for your family. Dining out can be stressful and a quick adventure with young children. This is why we decided to introduce “Our Favourites” listings.
In no particular order, here are our top picks:

Our Casa (Hampton )
Our Casa, naturally, fell into this category for us. The owners are parents of young children themselves and they live by their name, which literally translates to “Our Home”. Each letter of Casa represents each member of Alex’s family. They’re more than just sharing their home. They believe dining should be about coming together as a community. This is exactly how our visit felt. We will be returning over and over.
38 South (Seaford)
Bringing the best of the inner city food and service to the suburbs. Family of 5, 20 years of hospitality experience behind them, offers a very family friendly experience with great food.
Harry’s Schnitzel & Grill (Cheltenham)
The parma destination. Butcher turned chef offering his speciality crumbed chicken schnitzel and boy it is delicious. A great kids menu and plenty of room for prams and high chairs. Dine inside or out.
Ajisai Carrum (Carrum)
New Japanese kids on the block. A very family friendly and orientated Japanese restaurant. They have almost 200 items on the menu, including some cafe options. Something for everyone.
Two Bob Snob (Cheltenham)
Delicious cafe by day. Mexican destination by night. They offer all the naughty and nice options, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options.
Welcoming atmosphere for kids, including kids eat free promo, boardgames, colouring and kids menu.
Le Feu ( Aspendale )
French inspired Vietnamese food. Children are welcomed warmly by all staff. They offer a kids menu, high chairs, plastic tableware and a great view of the passing trains. The food is delicious and it’s a popular destination for locals.
SunnyBoy Beach Club (Mordialloc)
Nestled on the foreshore with an amazing view (of spectacular sunsets) is one of Mordi’s favourite venues. They offer a kids play area every Tuesday (day and night). Offering delicious food and exceptional service, will have you wanting to return over and over. They’re kid friendly everyday of the week, so take advantage of the great offerings nearby before or after a meal (beach and playground on the foreshore).
