Need to know:
Matteo’s Pizza Parlour are fresh and ready to impress! The opened the end of October and are firing up a great menu of Authentic wood fired pizza. They have some of your favourite toppings, as well as some unique ones; such as smoked salmon with zucchini cream, lemon ricotta, rocket and basil oil. Their pizza menu has 15 to choose from and will satisfy most taste buds. Their pasta menu isn’t large, but will impress you with the choices; including their delicious wood fired gnocchi.
Matteo’s are family orientated by offering colouring for the kids (with of course, a ninja turtle holding a Matteo’s pizza box), plastic cups, high chairs and plenty of room for prams. They have some great promos, such as kid’s eat free (Monday to Thurs), happy hour and tight ass Tuesday. This is definitely one pizza restaurant you want to dine in at.
Our latest visit:
I came across this gem on Instagram and their promos are the reason I decided to visit. I hadn’t even seen any photos of the food! We headed in for dinner on a public holiday and there was already a couple other people waiting at the door for opening! We were warmly greeted and seated. We had one of the owners attend to us and he was pleasant, attentive and openly welcomed kids.
He immediately offered colouring to the kids, water for the table and plastic cups for the kids. We ordered the kid’s pineapple pizza with vegan cheese and two pizzas to share; Pepperoni and Matteo’s (with burrata cheese, cherry tomatoes, san Daniele proscuitto, parmesan and rocket). The great thing about wood fired pizza, is how quick it is to cook! Most the work is about perfecting the dough; ask any Italian pizza chef! Secondly, it’s about quality toppings and they did not disappoint.
All three pizzas arrived promptly and for a wood fired pizza, they were generous with the toppings! I tried all three pizzas and they were delicious. The pizza wasn’t heavy at all, which allowed plenty of room for a dessert pizza! We ordered their Nutella pizza, which was refreshing and moorish. It had a small amount of orange zest and was topped with raspberries and ice cream. We had an enjoyable time dining in and would definitely return.
What they do well:
– Family friendly
– Great topping choices for pizzas
– There are some wonderful promos
